Effects Of Level Of Literacy Of Parents And Pupils Academic Performance

Participants were asked to indicate their occupation as shown on table 3.
As shown on table 3, 87(97.8%) of the respondents were in government employment; that is civil servants, while 2(2.2%) were self employed.
Participants were asked to indicate their marital status as shown on table 4.
As shown on table 4, 9(10.1%) of the respondents were single, 79(88.8%) were married while 1(1.1%) was divorced.
Answering Research Questions
Five research questions were generated for the study. Research question one and two were answered using frequency and percentages, research question three was answered using mean response while research questions four and five had corresponding hypotheses one and two.
Research Question 1: What is the academic performance of primary school pupils in English Language in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State?
