6. Wattage for the Solar Panel
To calculate the wattage of the solar panel DOD = Depth of discharge (233.28 watt/hr)
DOD = 233.28watt/hr
Time of charging = 10am – 5pm = 7hrs
W DOD/(Time of charging) (3.11)
=233.28wh/7h
= 33.33watt ≅50watt
7. To Determine the Size of Charge Controller
Solar panel watt = 50watt
Maximum current that the solar panel can deliver will be P = IV (Chand, 2011)
P=IV
∴I= P/V (3.12)
1= (50watt (AV))/17V=2.94AMP ≅5AMP
3.8 Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME)
This is the determination of total manufacturing cost. Materials cost and labour cost used in the construction of this machine also include transportation and miscellaneous cost. The cost analysis is influenced by the present economic situation of the country resulting into high price of the materials.
