    • 4.2     TEST OF HYPOTHESIS
      The purpose of testing hypothesis is to ascertain the validity. The test is based on 95% confidence level and the first hypothesis is to ascertain foreign companies and government, the second is foreign companies with socio-economics activities,  thirdly foreign companies with security health:
      1.     Foreign companies and standards stipulated by both federal and state ministries.
      H0 =     There is no relationship between foreign companies and standards stipulated by both Federal and State Ministries.
      H1 =     There is a relationship between foreign companies and standards stipulated by both Federal and State Ministries.
      Result
      N=58,X2 Calculated= 15.99
      Degree of freedom (Di) = 5
      Table value of Chi (X2) at 0.05 = 0.25
      (See appendix I for the calculated)
      Decision Rule
      1.     If X2 calculated > table value of X2
      H0     should be rejected.
      2.     If X2 calculated table value of X2
      ..Do not reject H0
      Since the table value of Chi-(X2) is 025 is less than the calculated Chi (X2) of 15.99, H0 is rejected hence then accept one of the alternative hypothesis. This shows that there is a relationship between foreign companies and standards stipulated by ministries (federal and state).
      2. Foreign companies and graduate employment/promotion.
      H0 =    There is no relationship between foreign companies and graduates employment/promotion.
      H1 =    There is a relationship between foreign companies and graduates employment/promotion.
      Results
      N =    58 X2 Calculated 2.02
      Degree of freedom (Df) = 5
      Table value of Chi (X2) at 0.05 = 0.25
      (See appendix 2 for the calculated)
      Decision Rule
      If X2 calculated > table value of X2
      .. H0 should be rejected.
      If X2 calculated< table value of X2
      ..Do not reject H0
      Since the table value of Chi-(X2) is 0.25 is less than the calculated Chi (X2) of 2.02, we reject H0 therefore the alternative hypothesis s accepted. This shows that there is a relationship between foreign companies employing graduates and promoting them.
      3.     Foreign Companies patronizing prostitutes in Nigeria streets
      H0 =     There is no relationship between foreign companies patronizing prostitutes in Nigeria streets.
      H1 =     There is a relationship between foreign companies patronizing prostitutes in Nigeria streets.
      Results
      N=58 X2 Calculated = 1.84
      Degree of freedom (Di) =5
      Table value of Chi (X2) at 0.05 0.25
      (See appendix 3 for the calculated)
