3.3 SITE CHARACTERISTICS AND ANALYSIS
The proposed site is a
virgin land with some scattered plant like tree shrubs and pack of grass
all around the site. There is also a scattered settlement which is to
be relocated to another area.
3.4 SITE SOIL STRUCTURE
The
site displays simple geological characteristically characterized with no
identifiable geological formations. 450 with the topography gentle slop
towards the south. The soil is well drained soil that favour the growth
of dense savannah wool land more ever, It can with stand building
structure due to its high bearing capacity as seen from stability of the
surrounding building.
3.5 SITE ANALYSIS/ INVENTORY
-
Existing service: the only existing service on the site is the road
network from Ilorin to Omu-aran and the access road to Iloffa/
Odo- Owa electric pole which makes it easily to access to the
hospital.
- Vegetation: The regular rainfall that is normally
experience through out the year result into trees and grasses that
cover the site
- Topography:The site is stop towards south and
will be level for easy setting out of the building, presence of trees
and shrubs on the site which will serve as landscape and some tree will
be retain so as to serve wind breaker to the building.
3.6 GENERAL CLIMATIC CONDITION
Odo-Owa (Oke-ero) has a tropical savannah climate that is similar to
that of the rest of southern Nigeria. There are two rainy season, with
the harvest rains falling from April to July and a weaker rainy season
October and November. There is a brief relatively dry spell I August and
September and a longer only season from December to Mark monthly
rainfall between May and July average over 400m (15.7m) while in August
and September it is down to 200mm (7.9cm) and in December as low as 25mm
(1.0cm). The main dry season is accompanied by hamatan winds, from the
Sahara desert, which between December and easily February can be site
strong.
