Principle: The High density lipoprotein in serum precipitate after addition of a citrate buffered solution on their isolectronic point after centrifugation, the VLDL (Very low density lipoprotein) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) are remaining in the supernatant and is determined with the centronic cholesterol reagent from the difference of the concentration of the total cholesterol and the concentration of the VLDL and LDL in supernatant. HDL cholesterol concentration is calculated.
