    • 3.10.2 PRETESTING OF THE INSTRUMENT
A pretest of the questionnaire will be conducted among people living in Ilorin metropolis. The aim of the pretest exercise is to determine the accuracy, suitability and efficiency of the instrument, and to ascertain any difficulty the researcher may encounter while carrying out the main study. The instrument will be used to collect 10% of the calculated sample size before the commencement of the main study. Data obtained from pretesting exercise will be examined and analyzed just as it will be done in the main study.
      3.10.3 TRAINING OF RESEARCH ASSISSTANTS
Two (2) research assistants who are undergraduate students of Kwara State University will be recruited and trained by the researcher for two days for the purpose of data collection. A daily training session lasting one hour will be held for the assistants and a pre- and post-training evaluation of each assistant will be done by the researcher to ensure adequate knowledge of the objectives of this study and competence in the collection of required data.
      3.11 PROCEDURES FOR DATA COLLECTION
The researcher along with his research assistants will introduce themselves and participate in the data collection after detailed explanation of the purpose of the study to all the eligible respondents and informed consent will be sought and obtained from the participants
An interviewer administered questionnaire will be used to collect data for the study. The questionnaire will be written in English language and translated to Yoruba, the native language of the communities by the interviewer. Anonymity and confidentiality of the information obtained will be assured and maintained throughout the study.
      3.12 METHOD OF DATA ANALYSIS
Once the data have been collected, the instruments will be thoroughly checked for completeness and consistency. The data will be analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and descriptive statistics (frequencies, means and standard deviations) will be used to tabulate and describe the data. The chi-square test always tests the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference between the expected and observed result. The p-value is the probability that the null hypothesis explains the outcome of the analysis, the lower the p-value the less likely that the null hypothesis explains the results. In this study, we will assume 5% significant levels i.e. alpha = 0.05 implying that if p<0.05, we will reject the null hypothesis.
      3.13 ETHICAL CONSIDERATION
At a high level, clearance and approval will be obtained from the Department of Community Health Science and permission to conduct the study within Ilorin metropolis will be obtained from the authority concerned. Ethical approval will be obtained from Human and Animal Research Ethical Committee of the School of Basic and Medical Sciences Kwara State University Malete.
At an individual level, inform consent will be received from each participant before data collection. A copy of the consent form will be included in the appendix section. Respondents will receive a detailed description of the study, confidentiality provisions and the fact that their participation is voluntary and they could withdraw at any point if they so wish. The principles of privacy and confidentiality will be upheld.
      3.14 LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
The anticipated challenges that may hinder the success of this study:
Full cooperation may not be guaranteed from the particpants while administering the questionnaire because they may think it is time wasting. To overcome this challenge, persuasive words and encouragement will be said to all the participants
