4.3 Program specification
This specifies all programs that will run the modules identified in the control program.
Input specification:
In this research work, the input is only relevant in two places, firstly, when the user is filling a form for the first time i.e. registering on the platform for the first time.
Secondly, when the user sends the short SMS code to the destination.
4.4 .1 Input format
As an example of the operation of this SMS result checking system, the mode of operation is illustrated using a particular final year student by the name Bassey, Ekpenyong Effiong with matric number 11/CSC/013.
The user sends an SMS in prescribed format to a designated GSM number.
4.4.2 Output Format
Appending all to the message, instructs the server to reply with the full result details for the semester. The reply should show the student registration number, the department of the student, the semester under consideration, the course and the score.
4.4 System Architecture
The diagram in fig. 4.1 shows the system architecture of the developed system. Student initiates the examination result process by sending SMS to the specific number provided by the system.
