Flow chart for the new system
A flowchart is a type of diagram that represents an algorithm, workflow or process, showing the steps as boxes of various kinds, and their order by connecting them with arrows. This diagrammatic representation illustrates a solution model to a given problem. Flowcharts are used in analyzing, designing, documenting or managing a process or program in various fields. The following are some of the commonly used shapes used in flowcharts. Generally, flowcharts flow from top to bottom and left to right.
The numbers in the flow chart notifications indicates the following:

3. After getting the slip from the doctor, the student/staff proceeds to the pharmacist section.
4. The pharmacist checks for the patient’s data on the database. To know if he/she is registered.
5. Is the patient’s data on the database?
6. If no, the pharmacist sends the patient to register.
7. If yes, the pharmacist proceeds to the issuing of drugs.
8. Is the drug on the prescription slip available in stock/database?
9. If no, the pharmacist returns the slip to the patient. The patient will have to get the drug from another source.
