3.5 Reliability of the Instrument
Reliability means the ability of a test to yield identical result when they are administered. Ibrahim (2002) describe reliability as consistency of scores or responses from one, administration of an instrument to another and from one set of item to another. It means that an instrument is said to be reliable if the consistency measures what it is designed to measure.
The questionnaire would be administered on a small group of teachers compared using Pearson product-moment correlation statistic at 0.05 was obtained.
3.6 Procedure of the Data Collection
The copies of the questionnaire would be taken to the respondents by the researcher and collected on the spot after completed. The strategy provided the opportunity of solving the problem encountered by the teachers in the course of completing the questionnaire
3.7 Method of Data Analysis
The descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics would be used to analyze the data collected. Information would be collected and frequency of response to item would be summed up. Pearson product-moment correlation was used to test the extent of relationship between teachers’ professional and students’ academic performance.
