Table 10 shows that the p-value (0.000) is less than the significance level (0.05) for 292 degree of freedom. Therefore, the hypothesis, which states that there is no significant relationshipbetween experience and students’ academic performance in Ijumu secondary schools, Kogi state is rejected.
Ho: There is no significant relationship between teacher competency and students’ academic performance in Ijumu Secondary Schools in Kogi state.
To test this hypothesis, Pearson product-moment correlationstatistic was used.
Table 11 shoes that the p-value (0.001) is less than the significance level (0.05) for 292 degree of freedom. Therefore, the hypothesis, which states that there is no significant relationship between teacher’s competency and students’ academic performances in Ijumu secondary schools in KogiState, is rejected.
