Question 3.
Are geography teachers exposed to use of new technologies in teaching of geography
The above table, comprises of (50%) respondents that strongly agreed that individual handling of ICT gadget helps the teacher to communicate better in class as well as 16.6% respondents also agreed to it. In item two, (16.6%) each agreed and strongly agreed that they have been exposed to the use of ICT facilities. Mean while (66.8%) disagreed that poor management affects the usage of these technologies. From item four, 16.6% agreed and 33.6% disagreed that teachers that are ICT grounded will be better in using technology to teach them than those that are not.
While the last item on the table has a similar view with item four as, (16.6%) each of the respondents agreed and strongly agreed that an exposed teacher to the use of new technology can control distraction among the students while 33.6% disagreed and strongly disagreed to it.
In conclusion, the teachers have various views concerning their exposure to the use of new technology as 36.6% respondents disagreed and 26.6% agreed to this.
