      3.0     CONSTRUCTION AND METHODOLOGY
3.1     COMPONENTS AND FUNCTION: There are some component used to built-up an inverter and their main function of operation, by the way of the arrangement on vero board.
      3.1.1 RESISTOR
A resistor is passive two terminal of an electrical components that implement opposition to the flow of electric current as circuit element0. The unit of measuring how much the resistor will oppose current is in ohms (Ω), to determine the outcome of the resistor is by using ohm’s law.
Ohm’s law state that the current flow through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the difference across the two points.
There are two main types of resistors which are fixed and variable resistors.
      FIXED RESISTOR
This type of resistor has a resistance that only changes slightly with the temperature, times or operating voltage.

      VARIABLE RESISTOR
The variable resistor is very important component that is commonly used in electrical & electronics device to perform things, such has tone, volume and voltage devider.
      i.    Wire wound
      ii.    Carbon
      iii.    Conductive plastic
A resistance value can be through their colour code identification of their outer body colour.

      3.1.2 CAPACITOR
This is also known as electrolyte condenser, is a simple passive device that is used to stored electric charges. The capacitor is a component which has the ability or capacity to stored energy in the form of an electrical charging producing a potential difference (static voltage) across its plate. There are many different types of capacitor available from very small capacitor used in resonance circuit to larger capacitor but they all store energy: examples are: ceramic capacitor, tantalum electrolytic capacitor, electrolytic capacitor etc,
The capacitor used for these project are electrolytic and ceramic capacitor for smoothing or filtering of the current perfectly.

    • ABSRACT - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]ABSTRACTThis project presents the design and construction of a DC to AC inverter system. It is designed to meet up with the power demand in the offices/homes in the absence of power supply from National Supply Authority. It is designed in such a way that it will take up to 12V DC from battery and inverts it to an output of 220V, 50Hz AC. It makes no noise during operation and not hazardous like carbon monoxide is generated to the surrounding. This is the feature makes it safe to used anywhere whe ... Continue reading---

CHAPTER ONE - [ Total Page(s): 2 ]CHAPTER ONEINTRODUCTION1.2    Background of the Study An inverter is an electronics device or circuitry that changes direct current (D.C) to Alternating current [AC]. The device make used of an in–built automatic circuit to achieve a complete automation of the entire system. The input voltage, output voltage, frequency and overall power handling depend on the design of a specific device or circuitry. An inverter is very important element that cannot be neglected in this Country as it i ... Continue reading---

It used the smartness of advanced control technology with the efficient conversion of electric power into the precise from required to control a function or process. In a industrial and commercial products, it is gaining ground mostly visible among inverters which converts direct current (DC) into a single or poly phase AC voltage at a desire aptitu ...
