    • 3.1.7 REGULATOR     
      The regulator is a component with an internal standard voltage which it continually compares the actual output of the supply and makes appropriate adjustment by electronically controlling the resistor as connected in the circuit. The regulation is used because many electronic circuits imposed a varying load on their power supplies which will not function properly when the supply alters.
      The regulator IC provide internal thermal overload protection and internal short circuit limiting. It has 3 terminals: input, ground and output. The voltage is specified by the last two digit of the IC part number. The regulator used in this inverter is IC7812 and it supply 12V D.C.
      3.1.8 BATTERY             
      An electric battery is a device consisting of one or more electrochemical cell with external connection provide to power electric device. This is converted into 220volts AC supply at the inverter output socket.
      3.1.9 SWITCHES AND SOCKET    
      ON/OFF and rest switches are commonly used in inverters. The reset switch is used to cut-off an overload circuits and restart the supply.
