    • 3.2.5 CONSTRUCTION OF THE CASING
The casing of the inverter is constructed in form of a rectangular box of dimension 33X23X23cm, holes for gold cord cables and socket were made. Also, there are small holes made at both side for proper ventilation to the transformer in addition to cooling fan, also holes were made for switch and light emitting diode. The casing was sprayed with anti-corrosive colour.
3.2.6 HOUSING OF THE WHOLE COMPONENT
The vero board which contains some of the components was bolted on a side above the floor level side of the casing. Amplifying/ inverting transistor (MOSFET) is bolted on heat sink with insulating in between to prevent the component from short to ground.
3.2.7 ARRANGEMENT OF COMPONENT ON VERO BOARD
A vero-board is used for the arrangement of components starting from edge (from left to the right hand side) of the board, starting with relay, followed by diode, resistor, integrated circuit (IC) and transistor, the legs of these components were given a good soldering for permanent contact by 65W soldering iron with lead alloy.
The bank transistors for inverting stages are bolted to heat sink for heat dissipation and separated from other stage. Connection was made from the bank transistor to the primary transformer. (David L.A. (2013), Modern USP Serving Marc Dowell Publishers, London)

    • ABSRACT - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]ABSTRACTThis project presents the design and construction of a DC to AC inverter system. It is designed to meet up with the power demand in the offices/homes in the absence of power supply from National Supply Authority. It is designed in such a way that it will take up to 12V DC from battery and inverts it to an output of 220V, 50Hz AC. It makes no noise during operation and not hazardous like carbon monoxide is generated to the surrounding. This is the feature makes it safe to used anywhere whe ... Continue reading---

CHAPTER ONE - [ Total Page(s): 2 ]CHAPTER ONEINTRODUCTION1.2    Background of the Study An inverter is an electronics device or circuitry that changes direct current (D.C) to Alternating current [AC]. The device make used of an in–built automatic circuit to achieve a complete automation of the entire system. The input voltage, output voltage, frequency and overall power handling depend on the design of a specific device or circuitry. An inverter is very important element that cannot be neglected in this Country as it i ... Continue reading---

CHAPTER TWO - [ Total Page(s): 2 ]CHAPTER TWOLITERATURE REVIEW2.0  INVERTER     An enabling technology, power electronics does it job with intelligence, precision and efficiency. It used the smartness of advanced control technology with the efficient conversion of electric power into the precise from required to control a function or process. In a industrial and commercial products, it is gaining ground mostly visible among inverters which converts direct current (DC) into a single or poly phase AC voltage at a desire aptitu ...
