Let’s take a look at the figure above. First a byte representing units is loaded to the microcontroller port PORT2 and transistor T1 is activated at the same time. After a while, the transistor T1 is turned off, a byte representing tens is loaded to PORT2 and the transistor T2 is activated. This procedure is repeated cyclically at high speed for all digits and corresponding transistors.
2.2.5 CONTROL UNIT
This stage is also the input stage. It is use to adjust time and date of the system. There are three buttons use to archive this functions. This includes set, up and down buttons. This buttons are making and break type. When these buttons are pressed, logic 1 is sent to the input terminal of the MCU.
The up button is the increase adjusts and the down button is the decrease adjusts. The set button is use to select the adjust parameter. The down button is use to preview the seconds and the year when the device is working.
