3.2.3.3 ANTENNA
Antenna is a device which transmits a signal around it. The antenna used in this project was selected to meet the project’s objectives. A monopole antenna shown in Figure 3.9 with an input impedance of 50Ω to match the transmission system was used. This criterion was chosen because the antenna must transmit the same frequency as the mobile signal frequency. When theratio between the antenna frequency and the mobile signal frequency is 1:1, the mobile signal frequency will be blocked.

(a) Three Monopole antennas.
(b) Input impedance 50Ω.
(c) VSWR < 2 (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio).
(d) Frequency 800 -2100MHz.
(e) Range covered is 10 meters.
