Discussion of Findings
The chapter deals with the analysis of data collected through the administered questionnaires. A selected and twenty (20) teachers selected. The students were divided into two groups (Experimental and control) the results of the hypothesis tested shows that students taught by teachers who undergoes additional training with extra qualification performed better in mathematics than their counterpart taught by teachers who do not undergo any training (control group) the findings agrees with the view of earlier researchers (Adesina 2000), Alabi, 2005) Micheal, 2000 and Hassan, 2004) that teachers qualification and attainment of higher certificate with the night qualification impact positively on students performance in any subject taught.
The result of research hypotheses two (Ho2) shows that acquisition of higher certificates by teacher have significant impact on students academic performance in mathematics. The findings corroborate the view of Jamie (2003) and Flippes, (2004) which affirmed that teacher induction.
Training and development programme significantly influence their teaching methodology, which consequently enhance the performance of students taught by those set of teachers.
Similarly, Yakub (2006) and Yusuf (2009) agreed that acquisition of higher certificates by the teachers plays moments role in deceiving their experience on the job and the method of imparting knowledge to the students.
