    •     According to Balogun (1999), the social-economic and literate level of parents is important in determining a lot about the fate, future and personality of their children. This is because parents mold the live of their children, and so the parents ought to know some basic health rules in the home, so that any eventuality or abnormalities would quickly be nipped in the bud.
In table 3: - The research hypothesis being tested is: - There is no significant difference in the learning problems of children who are deaf at tender age and those who become deaf in adult age. The hypothesis was rejected, meaning that there is substantial difference in the learning problems of those who become deaf at birth or early age and those who later become deaf at adulthood.
According to a study carried by Babatunde (2000), the age at which the learning loss occurs is very important in determining the categorization or the seriousness of the deafness. According to him, prelingual deafness is the loss of hearing before speech and language have developed, while post-lingual deafness is the loss of hearing after spontaneous speech and language have developed. And so, prelingual deafness often leads to more serious educational problems.
In table 4: The research hypothesis being tested is that, there is no significant difference in the learning capabilities of Christian deaf students and Muslim deaf students.
The hypothesis was accepted. This means that there is no significant difference in the learning problems of a Christian deaf students and Muslim deaf students.
According to Onaolapo (1999), rather than face the problems of their children, who are handicapped, some parents go on trying to find religious interpretations of the problems. In some cases, some gods are believed to have been offended and the parents will want to find mysterious solutions. All these according to him, are wrong interpretations of handicapped, based on religious faiths of both Muslim and Christians. He therefore counseled that parents should seek counselling and medical advise for their handicap children rather than result to religious mysticism.
