    • 1.    TYPES OF ROOFING
      The entire house hold was roofed with a thatching grass (Local roof) by peasant (Farmers)


      2.    NUMBER OF ROOMS AND SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT
      The numbers of rooms in the entire house are four (i.e.) four single rooms:
          One for the husband and his wife
          One for  the grown up children
          One for  the little children
          One for the kitchen and as well as visitors room
      The sleeping arrangements in the room of Mrs. “N” family is locally arranged that the husband and wife stays in a single room with their one year old daughter with also two single plastic chairs and a radio on a small table
      3.    NUMBER OF HOUSE HOLDS IN THE COMPOUND
      The number of sleeping rooms in the compound and four, the number of room occupied by the family are also four.
      4.    HOUSE HOLD AMENITIES
          The source of water supply to Mrs. “N” is stream:- he stream is behind their compound not very far from the households.
          There is no toilet facility; the family uses the nearby bush to pass their waste product.
          There is no source of power supply or electricity, no rechargeable lanterns
          There is no bathing room, they usually bath in the night at the stream when necessary
      The only source of light is the torch light with batteries
      The house has poor ventilation because there is a small window to the household
      5.    REFUSE DISPOSAL
      The refuse disposal is very poor because the use open refuse dumping as well as open defecations
          The condition of the floor is okay because it is cemented with concrete cement. The drainage system is very poor; this makes the surrounding to be busy with over grown grasses that attract reptiles and other crawling insects that are harmful to man
      6.    TOILET FACILITIES
          There are no toilet baths facilities.
          The entire family uses the nearby bush as toilet and bath
      However, there is a cordial relationship between the members of Mrs. “N” family and other neighbors.
      3.3    OBSERVATION
      My observation to Household of Mrs. “N” is that, the entire compound is busy and there is no good sanitation to the house which makes it a breathing place for reptiles, mosquitoes and other crawling insects.
      1.    PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED
      The following were the problems identified through observation and discussion:
          Each round hut has a small room and a small window which does not permits cross ventilations and sleeping space.
          No toilet facilities
          The family are peasant farmers that cannot afford protective gadgets for farming, e.g. Rain boot, Rain coat and hand gloves
          They are prone to snake attack and other reptiles because of their busy environment
          They have a very fertile land for agricultural purpose
          No good source of water supply
