The result in Table 4 above implies that the calculated t value of 3.31 was higher than the table value of 2.00. Therefore null hypothesis one was rejected, since the mean score of the urban girls’ differed significantly from that of rural girls’ at 0.05 level.
The result in table 5 above implies that the calculated value of 200 was greater than the table value of 2.00. The null hypothesis was therefore rejected. Since the mean score of urban girls’ differed from that of rural girls’ significantly at 0.05 level.
The result in table 6 implies that the calculated t value of 4.81 was greater than the table value of 2.00. The hypothesis was therefore rejected. Since the mean score of urban girls’ differed from that of rural girls’ significantly at 0.05 levels.
Hypothesis 2:
There is no significant difference in the mean score of rural and urban boys in 50 metres dash, standing broad jump and 10 metres shuttle run.
t-test was used in testing the null hypothesis at 0.05 level and result obtained were summarized on Tables 7, 8 and 9.
