    • A computerized human resource information system (HRIS) is a fully integrated, organization-wide network that manages human resource data, information, services, database tools, and transactions. It relies on computer hardware and software, procedures, analytical models, planning, control, decision-making processes, and a database. This study examined the effects of computerized HRIS on the productivity of ministries at Nyayo House headquarters. The research aimed to determine how different organizational functions are influenced by HRIS in order to enhance ministry productivity. Variables considered included data analysis, training administration, organizational redesign, planning, and internet usage, while ministry productivity served as the dependent variable. A descriptive research design was employed, targeting a population of 300 employees, from which a sample of 50 was selected. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to staff, and analyzed through descriptive statistics for both qualitative and quantitative insights, with results presented in charts and tables.

Findings revealed that 70% of respondents agreed that training positively influences ministry productivity, while 30% disagreed. Most respondents identified planning as having a significant impact on productivity, and 80% noted that employee involvement motivated them to work towards higher output. Overall, the study concluded that computerized HRIS substantially improves organizational productivity. Training was found to equip employees with relevant skills, thereby boosting performance, while planning emerged as a critical factor in enhancing productivity.
