ABSRACT - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]This study investigates the patterns and motivations behind code-switching among Igbo–English bilingual speakers living in selected urban centres. The research examines the social contexts in which switching occurs and the linguistic factors that influence speakers’ choices. Using interviews, natural conversations, and participant observation, the study analyses how age, education, occupation, and social networks shape bilingual behaviour.
