THE COLLECTION UNIT
This unit houses the grinding does and it is made of mild steel sheet aid are welded together.
An
adjust nut and handle is assembled at the external part of it to
control the operation of the grinding disc for. The construction of the
adjusting nut and handle shaft was gripped in table rice threaded to
make room for used key, while the bushing connected to the cover face of
the unit was threaded too.
The grinding is however not limited to the above parts alone. It comprise the under mentioned part too.
WELDING OPERATION
Welding operation is the operation of melting the edge of metal parts to be joined so that the edge will fix together.
Welding employ the direct application of a concentrated by acetylene fame.
The equipment used is well known and require on description.
Most
metals and alloys can be welded. A suitable filler rod is necessary and
suitable flux is generally used for most ex alloys can bet mild steel.
The
procedure for welding the machine was carried out by selecting the
required electrodes for welding which is gauge 10 and 12 type.
The
metal is first joined by lack of welding to give room for correction
where necessary. Then permanent welding was done after ascertaining that
there was no mistake after setting the machine to how voltage because
of the lightness of the metal.
5.5 COST ANALYSIS OF MATERIAL USED
Due
to economic condition of the country, the prices of selected materials
are very expensive. Based on our careful selection of materials we were
able to buy things within our limited capacity.
