      A.     AIR-COOLED CONDENSERS
      These are used only in small capacity machine such as refrigerators and small water cooler, which is also employed in this project.
      In air-cooled condensers, heat is removed by air using either natural or forced circulation, the condenser are either made up of steel, copper or aluminum tubing provided with fins to improve air- side heat transfer [Aithouse, A. D. (1968)].
      B.     WATER-COOLED CONDENSER
      This provides a lower condensing pressure than the air-cooled condensate the water-cooled condenser using water [Althouse, A. D. (1968)].
      C.     EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER
      This condenser combines the frictions of a condenser and a cooling tower. It is commonly used in large ammonia plants as they are found to be cheaper [Althouse, A. D. (1968)].
      4.3     THE EVAPORATOR
      The evaporator is a component of the refrigeration system in which heat is removed from air, water or any other body by the evaporating refrigerants, since this heat must be absorbed by the evaporator. The efficiency of the system depends on the design and operation of the evaporator.
      Evaporator are constructed with materials that can withstand high heat conduction and also having sufficient strength to withstand any pressure or partial vacuum with which it may be subjected to in the system[Althouse, AD(1 968)]
