    • 4.3    PHYSICAL STRUCTURES AND FACILITIES OF CBE
      Also 69(40.4%) of the respondents agree that the buildings are adequately maintained and 58(33.9%) disagree while 24(14.0%) neither agree nor disagree and 20(11.7%) of the respondent strongly agree.
      Majority of the respondents 98(57.3%) disagree, 44(25.7%) agree that there are sufficient computer rooms and 20(11.7%) strongly agree while only 9(5.3%) of the respondents strongly disagree with the above statement.
      Also 75(43.9%) of the respondents agree that the computer rooms have the required facilities such as fans air-conditioners and 31(18.1%) disagree, 25(14.6%) neither agree nor disagree, 21(12.3%) while 19(11.1%) of the respondent neither agree nor disagree.
      Majority of the respondents 84(49.1%) disagree, 43(25.1%) agree that there is constant electricity in the building and 29(17.0) neither agree nor disagree while only 15(8.8%) of the respondents strongly agree with the above statement.
      Also 59(34.5%) of the respondents disagree that the facilities are adequate for the students to take examination and 46(26.9%) strongly agree, 39(22.8%) agree while 27(15.8%) of the respondent neither agree nor disagree.
      Majority of the respondents 84(49.1%) agree, 38(22.2%) disagree that the lighting is adequate and 34(19.9) strongly agree while only 15(8.8%) of the respondents neither agree nor disagree with the above statement.

      4.4    SHOWING VARIABLE QUESTIONS ON THE PREFERENCE OF PPE AND THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY STUDENTS IN PPE AND CBE.
      No: 40 what are your reasons for preferring PPE (written exams) majority of the respondents 30(17.5%) indicated that their reasons for preferring PPE(written exams) is that there is absence of negative marking while 10(5.8%) of the respondents indicated that the PPE does not depend on electricity and reading is significantly faster from PPE as shown in the table 4.3.16 below.

      Majority of the respondents 42(24.6%) indicated that the problems encountered by student in PPE (written exams) is omission of results is common while 23(13.5%) of the respondents indicated that some of the invigilators are fond of making unnecessary noise during exams and can be distracting as shown in table 4.3.16 below.
