The Physical And Microbiological Investigation Of Some Local Beverage Drinks
[A CASE STUDY OF ILORIN METROPOLIS, KWARA STATE] -

Table 4.6 shows the isolate of microbial in Kunu, Zobo, Pito and Soy milk in Kwara South Geopolitical Zone. As shown in the table, Kunu-Zaki has 14 s.aureus, Pito has 8, Soy milk has 12 while Zobo has none. With respect to E. coli, Kunu has 18, Zobo has 1, Pito 8 and Soy milk also has 22. 1 P. mirabilis was found in Kunu-Zaki, 1 was found in Pito and 2 were found in Soy milk.Furthermore, 1 Candida sp. was found in Kunu, 2 Soba, 1 in Pito and 2 were found in Soy milk respectively. 32 Salmonella were found in Kunu-Zaki, 1 in Zobo, 17 in Pito and 36 in Soy milk. Statistically, the occurrence of microbial isolate in the zone was significant (p<0.05)
