Key: 4 = strongly Agree, 3 = Agree, 2 = Disagree, 1 = Strongly Disagree
Decision Value: Negative = 0.00-2.44, Positive = 2.45-4.00
Table 4.7 shows pupils’ perception of influence of parental involvement through school participation on their motivation to learn and school outcome. The table shows that the pupils agreed that their parent attend PTA meetings of their school (x ̅ = 2.98), volunteer their services in their school (x ̅ = 2.97), come for their open day (x ̅ = 2.87), participate in their school’s events (x ̅ = 2.76) and follow them to school filed trip (x ̅ = 2.81). Meanwhile, based on the value of the weighted average (2.88 out of the 4.00 maximum value that is obtainable) which falls within the decision value for positive, it can be inferred that pupils’ perception of influence of parental involvement through school participation on their motivation to learn and school outcome is positive.
