    • CAPACITOR
      FUNDAMENTAL FOR ALL CAPACITORS
This bulletin describes the basic characteristic of kemet capacitor. Before examining all the details relating to kemet product, here are some of the basic of all major types sold under the kemet brand.
Solid tantalum and monolithic ceramic for all pratical purpose, consider only the parallel- plate capacitor two conductor or electrodes seperated by a dieletric material of uniform thikness the conductor can be any material which wil conduct electricity easily the di-electric material must be a poor conductor –an insulator.
The sybol for a capacitor used in schematic diagrams of electronic circuits looks very mush like a parallel plate model.

Here is a sample circuit which contains all the component normally called passive plus a battery. The battery is an active ciomponent because it can add energy to the cirfcuit passive component may storr energy momentarily but cannot ad energy on a continuous basic. Thje three main passive devices are resistor capacitor and inductors
A favorite analogy componet the flow of electric cuyrrent with the flow of weater out of a tank a capacitor stores enegy when it is chargede the wate3r tank would be the charged by (a battery) which fills it up.
The amount of charged in the capacitor would be analogpus to the amount of water in the tank height of the watert above some referernce point woiuld be the voltage to which the battery had pumped up the capaitor and the area of the tank would be capactance a tall, skinnny tank might contain the same amount of water as a shallow flat tank but the tall skinny tank would it at a higher pressure
      FUSE
An electricity fuse is a current interupting device which protects an electrical circuit condition in istalled by creating on open circuilt condition in response to excessive current the current is interupted when the element or elements which carry the current are melted by hest generated by the current fuse terminals typically form an eletrical connection between an electrical power source and an electrical component or a combination of components arranged in an electrical circuit.
A fusible link is connected between the fuse terminals so that when electrical current flowing through the fuse exceeds a predetermine limit the fusible link melts and opens the circuit through the fuse to prevent electrical component damage.
A standard fuse is one time use device trhat must be replace after an over load condition has been deared because the thin strip or ribbon of metal canot be rejoined after it as melted through over current protection may be provided by fuse as well as by circuit breakers switches, relays and other device each type of eavipment has variations in ratings service requirement and cost. Fuses generally present the most cost effective means for providing automatic high voltage current protention against a single over-current falure.
Most types of are designed to minimize damage to conductor from excessive current fuses are employed in many electrical system that are used by people on an every day basic foe example, fuse are part of electrical system found in automobiles boats motorcycle and other vehincles.
These fused sfunction is to stop of the electricity from flowing to a particular component of the system by creating an open circuilt as a result of an unsafe electrical condition.

With a generator, the system was tested with public supply source. ... Continue reading---

CHAPTER FIVE - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]CHAPTER FIVEThe various test carried out and the results obtained demonstrate that the automatic phase change. Change –over switch achieved it’s design and construction aim. The system worked accordingly to specification and quite satisfactory. The automatic phase change –over switch is relatively affordable and reliable. It is easy to operate, and it provides a high level of power supply when there are power outages. Finally, it reduces stress associated with `manual change ... Continue reading---
