      From the above table, it shows that 35 respondents representing of the total number of the respondents (29.2%) disagreed that the programme should be discontinued while the remaining 85 (70.8%) respondents agreed that the programme should be discontinued in the company.
      QUESTION 20: WOULD YOU SUPPORT THE OPINION THAT ONLY YOUR DEPARTMENT SHOULD HANDLE THE PROGRAMME?

      From the table above, 30 (25%) respondents were in support of the opinion that only one department should handle the programme while the remaining 90 (75%) respondents were not in support that only one department should be responsible for the programme.
      4.2    HYPOTHESIS TESTING
      From the responses of the respondents to question number one hundred and five (105) of the questionnaires. Respondents were asked in their own views whether or not the programme has any positive result in cost reduction, one hundred and five (105) respondents representing 87.5% of the total respondents were of the same opinion that the programme has positive impact in cost reduction. Based on this response, the alternative hypothesis which states that value analysis and value engineering (VA/VE) has positive effect on organizational profitability is accepted while the null hypothesis is rejected.
